Training – The Education Inspection Framework in practice – key messages and updates for School Leaders delivered by Oldham School Improvement Trainer Julie Stevens Primary Adviser
One of our annual free sessions for Oldham Primary Schools to enable primary school leaders to understand the EIF in practice, navigate the handbook and support your school in understanding graded or ungraded Inspection processes under the framework, enabling you to consider key messages and next steps for your own setting.
There will be opportunities to hear from Oldham colleagues who have been inspected and to share key messages.
All messages from Ofsted are in the public domain - leaders will be signposted to relevant documents during the course of the morning.
You will gain an understanding of the difference between a graded and ungraded inspection in practice., learn about hypotheses and 'golden threads' of evidence - Ofsted's 'Big Picture' and how this filters down into the shop floor inspection. You will be guided through the handbook and how in practice, Inspectorate may collect, summarise, triangulate and evaluate the evidence to secure judgements in leadership and management, quality of education , behaviour and attitudes, personal development and EYFS.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a copy of the EIF to annotate.
