The new CETA Series: Exploring the Canada-EU Raw Materials Partnership
In this second instalment of the new CETA Series, we gather senior business and governmental leaders from Canada and the EU to explore the pivotal role of the Canada-EU partnership in ensuring secure, sustainable, and ethical supply chains for critical raw materials. The event will also highlight Canada’s leadership in mining practices, sustainability, and environmental stewardship, emphasizing how this leadership aligns with EU priorities for clean energy transitions and resilient supply chains in a challenging geopolitical context.
This event will take place during the EU’s Raw Materials Week 2024 and we expect the in-person audience to consist of both Brussels-based and visiting industry, policymakers, and consultants.*
The event will include online participation for those outside the Brussels area, reaching a wider audience of policymakers and regulators, business leaders, mining and sustainability experts, academic and research institutions, civil society groups and media.
* A networking reception will follow for in-person participants.
The format of the event will be 2 moderated panel discussions comprised of distinguished experts from government, policy, industry and business. Information on pannelists will be made available soon.
The event is being organized by the Canadian Mission to the EU in cooperation with the Canada EU Trade and Investment Association (CEUTIA) with the support of the Business Council of Canada.
This is the second episode in the second season of the #CETA Series of events aimed at examining the strategic importance of the Canada-EU economic and trade partnership and how to unlock its full potential.
