AGENDA OVERVIEW

The Nest Summit brings to Climate Week NYC a Climate Conference with four main tracks:

  • Opening Remarks: Dr. Jonathan Foley, Executive Director of Project Drawdown will provide an update on the status of the race to zero – where we stand and highlight some of the challenges and promising solutions to help us get where we need to be to stay below 1.5 Degrees Celsius. He will also discuss the lexicon of sustainability and what “net zero” and other commonly used terms really mean.
  • Clean Energy: The future of renewable energy will be examined and real-time solutions presented by Ford Motor Company and Siemens US, the most innovative producers of clean energy products and services in the U.S.
  • Climate Risk & Impact Investing: Take a deep dive through climate risk, impact investing and the tools to forecast and demonstrate the changing landscape around the green economy with leadership from Schroders, The Climate Service, OneTrust, and Benecomms.
  • Changemakers: We'll hear directly from New York City officials and NYC & Company on the nation’s most progressive sustainability efforts, along with leading organizations - Salesforce, Women in Climate Tech, Watershed, Indigo Ag, Food Rescue US, Informa Markets, and Saint-Gobain - who are each making meaningful advancements in transforming food, agriculture, fashion, manufacturing, tech, and tourism industries.
  • Climate Arts: The Climate Arts track will host an esteemed group of climate thought-leaders - the Climate Museum, Fix, Grist's solutions lab, Patagonia, author Devi Lockwood, and the British Journal of Photography - who are using the power of creativity, storytelling, and emotion to move the climate justice agenda forward and make change happen on a community level.
