The NCPA Soulful Blues Festival is back and this time, it’s a celebration even bigger than the last. After two memorable evenings of syncopated rhythms and evocative refrains in 2024, the festival is back with a power-packed line-up of not two but three artists. Opening the festival is Alvon Johnson, one of the most versatile musicians, singers and entertainers on the music scene today, referred to on his international tours as the “King of the Blues” and the “Ambassador of the Blues”. His love and respect for the American art form is shared by large and enthusiastic audiences all over the world. Day two features Thornetta Davis, regarded as Detroit’s queen of the blues. Davis is a ten-time Blues Music Awards nominee, including the 2024 Best Soul/Blues Artist Female and the winner of the 2023 Best Soul/Blues Artist Female. Tia Carrol graces the stage on day three. The award-winning California native has quietly accumulated one of the most impressive entertainment resumes in the Bay area. She has become one of the most sought-after female singers on the West Coast, while also headlining venues and festivals all over the world.
