The Christmas Book Swap is back — with a brand-new twist. This year we’re hosting the Naughty & Nice Christmas Book Swap at the Mudgeeraba Foundation Centre Hall on Friday 5 December.
This isn’t your average book swap. Each guest is asked to bring a book they’ve read and loved, wrapped as a Christmas gift. Think of it as giving someone a present — and going home with one too. The fun begins with our White Elephant Swap & Steal game, where books are unwrapped, swapped, and sometimes stolen before you leave with a surprise new read.
There’s a prize for the Best Wrapped Book, along with extra special door prizes throughout the evening. Tickets are $39.95 and include festive food from Lenny’s Pizzeria along with sweet Christmas treats.
We’ve chosen Mudgeeraba this year to make the event easy to access and to partner with two fantastic local bookstores — Ivy & Ink and Bookness — bringing the Naughty & Nice theme to life. After the event, guests are welcome to join us at the nearby whisky bar to continue the celebrations.
Whether you come alone or with friends, this event is open to anyone who loves stories and conversation. It’s a chance to discover new reads, meet fellow book lovers, and enjoy a relaxed, festive evening with a bookish twist.
