About this Event
Washington (originally west) park was one of the first parks created by the Milwaukee Park Commission. A rich modern history was created over the ensuing 130 years with the Band shell, the zoo and other features but this land was around for billions of years previously. On this tour we will look at both the natural and human history that shaped this land and get a glimpse of what the area would have looked like before Olmsted did his work. This walking tour will cover a little over a mile and a half over mostly paved trails with a fair amount of wood-chipped trails through natural areas.
This tour covers 1.6 miles and is not accessible.
