About this Event
This program pairs the deeply moving Molto Adagio from Beethoven's String Quartet, Op. 132 with living composer Mohammed Fairouz's rousing quartet, The Named Angels. Each movement of Fairouz’s quartet paints a portrait of one of the angels named in the Islamic, Christian, and Jewish traditions — angels who embody justice, power, kindness, healing, and death.
