The Mysteries of Wonderland, Calumet College Orientation Week

Welcome, welcome, welcome! Congratulations to all of you for getting accepted into your program here at York. Orientation week (O-week) is a week that holds social events and activities designated to smoothen your transition to York. Whether you are coming from high school, this is your second bachelor's degree, or you're a transfer student, we would love for you to join us for orientation week. Orientation week is full of fun events, meeting new friends, making lasting friendships, and making memories. There are also tons of prizes to be won! It is going to be an unforgettable week for the rest of your career!

Background:

A special message from the Queen of Hearts: First years, I need your help! I am the Queen of Hearts, and the President of Calumet College Council. Someone stole my crown and I suspect it was someone from the Orientation team. I need your help in narrowing down the suspects to find the guilty one. The criminal! Come join Orientation to help us solve the mystery.  

A special message from Detective Alice's, the Orientation Chairs: Hi first years! Congrats on your acceptances to York! We are so happy to have you here. Over the summer we have been planning a week of fun activities for you during orientation week, such as a petting zoo, beach day, club fest and Bingo! However our Wonderland world has been struck by disaster. Someone stole the Queen of Hearts crown! Our team of Wonderland detectives have made a list of suspects, but we still don't know who is guilty. So we are inviting you all to help us find out who is guilty. We look forward to meeting you all, detectives in training.  

Your ticket includes:

• Kit: T-shirt, water bottle, drawstring, lanyard, surprise. ** You will receive this on the first day during kit pick-ups

Rules and Policies

• Orientation week (O-week) at York is dry, meaning that there is no drinking or drugs allowed.
• You must wear your teeshirt for all events (unless explicitly told otherwise) and keep your wristband on
