This fascinating lecture delves into the relationship between entheogenic plants and religious or spiritual experiences, drawing on psychological and sociological theories to explore how altered states of consciousness have shaped belief systems across cultures

Bio

Robin Herne is Course Leader for Sociology at the University and Professional Development Centre, as well as a storyteller, poet, artist, and broadcaster. Robin has published poetry, fiction, and academic work, and is a founding member of Clan Ogma and the Ipswich Pagan Council. He was also honoured as the first Chief Bard of the Fens. His lectures blend scholarship with creativity, bringing history and belief systems vividly to life.
