About this Event
The Museum of Roadside Magic is the culmation of a dedicated period of research by museum custodian Libby Bove. Libby is currently exhibiting work in the Gallery as part of LORE - our exhibition exploring contemporary folklore.
Visit the Mills during the first weekend of December to explore the Museum and chat to Libby. The Museum Van & Gift Shop will be parked opposite the sheep at the Weaver's Yard car park entrance all weekend.

FREE ADMISSION, no pre-booking required.
The LORE exhibition will be operating under the same opening hours.

About The Museum of Roadside Magic
An imagined archive documenting the use of magical practice, folk custom and plant knowledge, in vehicular maintenance, repair and journey making. It is the only known archive of its kind and holds an extensive collection of artefacts, costumes and photographs. The displays show a great breadth and variety of roadlore practices including Gasket Dancing, Pipe Dressing, Diesel Clapping and the mysterious Brydes of Tacho. The Museum’s home is on the Road, as the permanent collection is set within a luton van and trailer.
Collaborators of the Museum include: Marten Baxter, Holly Black, Tild Death, Faye Freeman, Ash Ludd ,Kat Lyons, Mads Maudigan, Phillipa Metcalf, Molly No-Mates, Ellie Nurcome, Violetta Pickle & Richard Wyn-Williams.

Access Information
The Museum of Roadside Magic and Gift Shop are both stair only access. However, artifacts, costumes and films from Libby's Archive of Roadside Magic can all be seen in the Gallery during the same opening hours. The Gallery also has a range of Libby's Roadside Magic merch, including t-shirts, tarot cards, postcards and books.
The Gallery building is located on Farsley Town Street. The main entrance on Town Street has a flight of stairs. The Gallery & Finishing Room workshop space can also be reached by a flat access entrance to the rear of the building, through the Mills' Main Yard (there is an approx 1 inch step on the doorway).
There are several disabled toilets on site, as well as free accessible parking.
