Live at La Wine moves to Saturday nights! This saturday features the return of the Murphy Fisher Quartet. They'll be playing originals and standards with a heavy emphasis on improvisation and spontaneous melody. In the fall of 2023, Murphy Fisher, Edward Kenyon, Leo Burchette, and James Kardos recorded an album of original jazz compositions with at the United Action For Youth studio. Those recordings are out now on all streaming platforms under "Murphy Fisher." Since then, they've played Hancher Auditorium, FilmScene’s Refocus Festival, and more, including two exciting shows at La Wine.
This quartet has just a few more shows in Iowa City this summer, before they go their separate ways. Hear them while you can!
