The Capital High School Drama Department proudly presents The Mouse That Roared, a satirical comedy that proves even the smallest nation can shake the world’s greatest powers. Performances will be held November 6–8 and 13–15 at 6:00 p.m. in the Capital High School Auditorium.
This clever and fast-paced play, based on Leonard Wibberley’s beloved 1955 novel and the 1959 Peter Sellers film adaptation, follows the tiny European duchy of Grand Fenwick, a country so small it barely appears on a map. When its economy collapses, its leaders devise a ridiculous plan: declare war on the United States, lose quickly, and reap the rewards of postwar aid. But when the plan goes awry and Grand Fenwick accidentally wins the war, chaos and comedy ensue.
