It's widely believed that everyone has a need to go through the world “two by two.” Being alone in life is just not a natural state; we all need someone to share our thoughts, our pain, and our love. In Jen Silverman’s play we meet some extreme examples of these concepts in an unusual old family residence on the rainy, windswept Yorkshire moors where two sisters and a dog live out their lives dreaming of love and power. The arrival of a governess and a moorhen set all three on a strange and dangerous path. The Moors is a dark comedy about love, desperation, and visibility.
The play incudes intimacy and depictions of violence.
