The Monday Meet's next meeting will be on 15 September 2025, when Paul Mascard will deliver a talk about his transition from Landlubber to Ocean Racer.Paul participated in the 2019/20 Clipper Round the World Race before the pandemic intervened, and he is now preparing to finish the job in the 2025/26 edition of the race.
He'll give us an overview of the event, discuss the training programme required to turn novice sailors into ocean-ready yacht racers, and share a few of his experiences along the way.
The Clipper Round the World Race has a strong association with UNICEF and our retiring collection on the evening will go to supporting their work.
I hope you can make it to what will be an entertaining evening. Join us upstairs in the President's Room at The Bowler's Arms at 7.30pm for an 8.00pm start.
