About this Event
What is a Death Cafe?
A Death Cafe is a safe, confidential and friendly space for people to come together and talk openly and honestly about death, dying, and making the most of our finite lives. Small groups sit around a table and conversation flows without agenda or direction. The conversation is led by the people in the group, and therefore, each session is unique.
There will be free refreshments provided
It's important to note that Death Cafe is not a bereavement/grief support resource and we advise that you do not attend if you have been very recently bereaved and your grief feels very raw.
Why do people attend?
People attend a Death Cafe for all sorts of reasons. It might be that an illness or getting older makes death feel more present and they feel a need to talk or explore it further.
Some people come because they want to find out how to broach the subject of death and dying with someone close to them, like parents or grandparents. Or it might be a fear of death or dying that prompts someone to attend. For some people, it is just a desire to be more open or a curiosity about the subject.
Everyone is welcome. Come and join us!
