St Stephen's Church (Belle Vue Rd, Cinderford, GL14 2AA) will be open in conjunction with Heritage Open Days on Saturday 20 September, 10 am - 4 pm.This year's theme is architecture, so the focus will be on looking at the original plans and talking about the "missing steeple".
At 11.30 am there will be a talk by Dr Roger Deeks, "The Building of St Stephen's Church" telling the story of the new parish, the church and the ambitions of the Diocese. Featuring the remarkable stories of the Reverend James Hulme and Charles Houlston and Laura Clifford.
All welcome. Free entry. Refreshments available.
