There is a pediatric mental health crisis in our country right now—and parents are struggling, too. To support families, Debbie Chamberlain and Jessica Smith will be facilitating a three-hour Mindful Parenting Workshop at SWIHA on Saturday, August 23, from 1–4 PM.Debbie and Jessica each bring over 20 years of experience working with children. Both are certified Arizona teachers; Debbie holds a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and Jessica is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health. They have worked for many years with Mindfulness First and the AZ ACEs Consortium, educating teachers on understanding childhood behavior and how adult regulation impacts the classroom.
This workshop, offered for just $22, will provide practical, personalized techniques to help parents better understand their children, support their needs, and regulate their own nervous systems.
Participants will learn evidence-based strategies from Dr. Becky Kennedy, Dr. Dan Siegel, Dr. Daniel Amen, and others to help shift parenting from reactivity to connection.
