The program is modifiable for those with mobility limitations and can be done seated or standing.
The program is led by Matthew F. Komelski, director of the Adaptive Brain and Behavior Minor, and his students. Komelski teaches mind-body health and designs mindful movement programs for community health and veteran’s organizations in the New River Valley and Roanoke regions.
Classes are held each Tuesday and Thursday from 11 a.m.-noon, beginning Tuesday, Feb. 17 and running until Thursday, April 2. No classes are offered Tuesday, March 10 or Thursday, March 12, as the university will be closed for spring break.
We will be working with the Town of Blacksburg to ensure driveways and walkways are safe to navigate in case of snow and/or icy conditions. In the event of inclement weather, we will provide at least 24 hours advance cancellation notice.
