About this Event
The Midnight Jazz Cats: Celebrating America's great original art form, jazz, The Midnight Jazz Cats are prowling the stages, music halls, and theaters of Boise and the greater Treasure Valley. The Cats and their furry mascot, Ella Fitzkitty, fuel their unique mix of swing, jazz standards, bossa novas, and western swing with swagger, high-octane jazz moxie, and matching cat ties! Specializing in jazz from the 1920s through the 1970s, this five-piece juggernaut features Mark Stolpe on upright bass and vocals, Lloyd Blake on drums and vocals, Bob Phillips on keyboard and vocals, Bill Shepherd on reeds, and Blake Olson on guitar and vocals. The Cats jump, jive, and caterwaul to jazz standards along with some lesser-known swingin' surprises.
