Dr Martin Odler is working on a project called EgypToolWear, a Metalwork Analysis of Ancient Egyptian Tools. The research looks at how metal craft tools were used in late Chalcolithic and Bronze Age Egypt (c 3500-1070 BC).
Dr Martin Odler has also worked for more than ten years at the site of Abusir in Egypt as an archaeologist and surveyor.
In Prague, he studied Prehistoric and Early Medieval Archaeology and Classical Archaeology.
