Formerly the Whoville Jubilee, this event will feature many of the same beloved traditions while also being expanded to celebrate the diversity of our community!The Merry Mingle is scheduled for Sunday, December 1, 2024 from 4-8pm at the Commander's Mansion located at 440 Talcott Avenue.
All activities and on the first floor and everything outdoors is open to the public and free to enter!
Tickets are only needed for the “Santa’s Village”component on the second floor, which includes a photo shoot with Santa and one download from a digital gallery sent to you by email. There will also be hot chocolate, treats, and activities included. Each group ticket can accommodate up to 6 guests. When checking out, you will be asked to indicate how many guests are in your group with a maximum of 6. Group tickets must be purchased in advance at merrymingle.planningpod.com.
Free guest parking is available in the East Garage one street over on Kingsbury Avenue. Handicap parking will be available on site.
Outdoors:
- Toy Chest Drive for the Whooley Foundation with Watertown Veterans' Services - guests will be given a raffle ticket for each toy donated for a chance to be the "Official Cheermeister" and light our 18' Christmas Tree at 7pm
- Meet and greet with Whoville characters and displays on the North Lawn
- Train rides along our circular driveway sponsored by Watertown Savings Bank
- Winter Wonderland (artificial snowball fight and foam) with Watertown Recreation
- Holiday Bazaar (list of vendors will be announced soon) and live entertainment in our large reception tent, featuring the WPS All City Chorus and more
- Hot chocolate and treats for purchase at the Jingle Cafe from Joe's Variety
Indoors:
- Winter Holidays Around the World showcase grant funded by the Mass Cultural Council
- Storytime with Watertown Free Public Library
- "River of Light" craft with the Watertown Public Arts & Culture Committee sponsored by the Mosesian Center for the Arts
- Santa's Village ticketed guest experience on the second floor - tickets for this portion of the event must be purchased in advance at merrymingle.planningpod.com
- Gingerbread craft prepared by Arlene Smith
- DJ Ryan Murphy set up outside on the veranda
