The Meffs (GENRE: Punk / Rock | FOR FANS OF: Amyl and the Sniffers, Bob Vylan, X Ray Spex, Idles) Since exploding onto the UK scene in 2019, The Meffs have built up a reputation as purveyors of frantic punk rock and an absolute must-see live sensation. The band challenges the norm with important messages about equality and society, over a barrage of hard-hitting riffs that get stuck in your head for days.
2022 saw the band's debut Frank Turner-produced EPs released on Bottles to the Ground, the new label founded by Fat Mike of NOFX/Fat Wreck Chords. The EPs, appropriately named 'Broken Britain' Part.1 & 2', gained significant interest from both new and original fans, as shown at their first headline tour across England, Scotland & Wales. In the summer of 2023 The Meffs joined NOFX on three of their final dates, which saw them play to their biggest crowds to date... Until Download 2023! They played Download's 20th anniversary to chants of "Up The Meffs, Up The Meffs", for countless fans
who sang, crowd-surfed, and kicked up dust, with reviews naming The Meffs as one of the best bands of the festival. Shortly after, the band returned to Rebellion Festival 2023 and rumour has it that the Meffs had the biggest turn out for a main stage opener in its time as a festival.
After a summer like this it was only right for the band to head off around the UK for a winter head-line tour. This time they played 21 shows in sold out venues throughout November 2023, followed by a European tour of ten support shows and ten sold out headline shows. The growth has been staggering over such a short period.
So what's next? A new album out September 2024, non-stop touring and a new era of The Meffs. Britpunk. The Meffs created it. Remember the
name!
The Sensitves (Punk-Rock/ Rock ́n Roll | Schweden)
The Sensitives sind eine wilde Mischung aus Punk, Rock ́n Roll, Ska und Folk. Sie touren seit Jahren durch Europa und haben dabei mehr als 400 Shows gespielt. Bei ihren mitreißenden Konzerten findet sich eine treue Fanbase aus Menschen ein, die ihren Mittelfinger jeder Form von Rassismus & Sexismus entschlossen entgegenstrecken. Die Band aus dem hohen Norden Schwedens hat schon immer gewusst, wie man zwischen verschiedensten Stilistiken hin und her wechseln kann ohne den Kern zu verlieren und das immer voller Energie! Mal singt Paulina, dann ist Martin am Hauptgesang, immer getrieben vom nie ruhenden Magnus am Schlagzeug. Auf ihrem aktuellen Album „Patch It Up And Go!“ ist das nicht anders. Der großen Frustration, keine Touren aufgrund der weltweiten Pandemie spielen zu können, folgten unzählige Konzerte in Europa, sobald das wieder möglich war. Viele Autobahnkilometer, wenig Schlaf und ein riesiger Berg an Kosten, aufgrund ihres immer wieder streikenden Tour-Van, ließen eine erschöpfte Band zurück. Doch The Sensitives wären nicht The Sensitives, wenn sie nicht aus allem das Beste machen würden. So packten sie all ihre Emotionen und Erlebnisse in die Songs ihres neuen Albums und nannten es thematisch passend „Patch It Up And Go!“. Die Texte des Albums, das über Kidnap Music erscheint, handeln von „Mental Health, Sex, Animal Rights and the importance of celebrating the good times we have while we have them!“ sagt das Trio. Mit vielen Uptempo Nummern, die durch einen positiven Vibe und hohe Intensität herausstechen, ist „Patch It Up And Go“ nicht nur das beste Album von The Sensitives, sondern auch das persönlichste. Füße werden tanzen, Hüften geschwungen und Kehlen werden gröhlen!
