Meet your artist:
His dance journey began in 2009 when he first discovered salsa by chance when the instructor invited him to join the class. This moment marks the start of his dance adventure which led him to be introduced to the SBK world to then fall in love with kizomba.
After a brief hiatus, he returned in 2016, immersing himself in kizomba fusion for two years. He had a transformative moment, at a party in 2019, watching Angolan dancers move effortlessly on kizomba and semba. Their energy and style drew him in and inspired him to refine his skills to soon after join the Forever Dance Academy in South Africa.
During the pandemic, he stayed connected to the dance by learning from Angolan mentors, teaching, and helping managing the academy. Now based in Dublin, Ireland, he has been revitalizing the kizomba community by sharing kizomba events and resources. Soon, he's been hosting pre-party classes, teaching at Trinity Dance Academy, and working closely with well-known Dublin events like WELOVEKIZOMBA and QUEDADAS SBK.
Today, he leads the Kizomba Dance Academy in Dublin.
Beyond kizomba, he has attended festivals worldwide, learning from some of the best dancers across Europe and the UK.
In his teaching, he focuses on building a strong foundation while encouraging creativity, connection, and confidence for both leaders and followers. He emphasizes innovative techniques to help dancers truly understand the music and the feeling behind the movement, all while sprinkling in tips for styling and flow.
While kizomba being his primary focus, he loves the world of dance as a whole. Salsa introduced him to this journey, and semba keeps him grounded in its roots. He can’t wait to share his experience and passion with you — "let’s grow and dance together!" 🕺🏿
