A New Vision and Approach to Working Effectively With People of African Ancestry
The Massachusetts Mini BAI (Black Alcohol & Addiction Institute) is a training for providers, administrators, legislators of all ethnicities and nationalities who work with people of African Ancestry that are suffering with Addiction, Alcoholism and Co-occurring. The Mini BAI is uniquely qualified to help professionals - who are culturally different from their clients, patients, consumers and their families of African Ancestry - gain the knowledge, skills and cultural content to work with African Ancestral people.
At this Institute, participants will:
- Learn how to incorporate Best Practices and to produce outcomes that can benefit organizations, the community and families.
- Gain valuable information and improve skills and cultural competencies in their approach to working with African Ancestral individuals, families, and communities.
- Learn is an environment that is responsive to their different learning styles and needs.
- Learn ways to take care of themselves in the face of compassion fatigue, in order to provide the BEST care possible to others.
