Join Claire Halloin as she demonstrates the marvelously mechanical McDowell Garment Drafting Machine, the most up to date and improved way to draft a late 19th/early 20th century bodice!We'll start with a quick overview, take our measurements, and take turns using the machine to create our bodice patterns. If you bring some muslin, you'll have the chance to mock it up with help to fit. If you're feeling extra spicy, I'll have my treadle machine set up for use.
All are encouraged to throw on their best Victorian seamstress attire; though it's not required, it'll be a lovely way to set the mood. :)
**There is a small $10 fee to attend this event and use the machine; please contact me directly via Messenger so we can work that out. Registration is capped at 12.**
