The Wooden Walls Project presents: "The March of Medusa III: What the Waves Whispered" Mask-Making at the Carousel HouseIt's the best time of the year when "school is in session" at the Carousel House courtesy of The Wooden Walls Project and Dennis McNett, aka, Wolfbat.
It's the 3rd year that Dennis is offering a free Mask-Making Workshop, as part of his "Artist-in Residence" Program for the Wooden Walls Project in the the historical Carousel House of the Asbury Park Boardwalk.
Wolfbat’s Mask Making Workshop
When: September 8th-13th from 12pm-8pm- You can visit and make art anytime we are open on these days, Open studio style.

Free for all.
This workshop can be enjoyed by all ages, skill levels and time commitments. Free, and open to the public.
For the creative warrior we have a 3D cardboard and paper mache mask option. These masks will take a minimum of four to six hours (or more) hour sessions to finish. The structure is cardboard and uniquely made to fit your head shape and size. It is then covered in one layer of paper and acrylic gel medium to toughen the structure. Finally it is covered in paint and Wolfbat woodcut print patterns to give it it’s ornate skin. (Registration required for the 3D Mask Making Class) required.
If time is an issue or you just want to work on something with your kids, there will be screen printed paper masks that can be painted with watercolors and decorated with paste on additions. The finishing touch is a mask string to make it wearable. These can be done anywhere between 1-3 hours depending on how much you want to work on it.
There will be open studio hours each day that anyone can drop by and create a mask.
