From Academy Award Winning director John Huston (The Treasure of the Sierra Madre, The Maltese Falcon, The Asphalt Jungle, The African Queen), and based on the classic adventure by Rudyard Kipling, Michael Caine and Sean Connery star as Peachy Carnehan and Danny Dravot, two English military officers stationed in India in the 1880s, who after tiring of life as soldiers, travel to the isolated land of Kafiristan. There, they are embraced by the people and revered as rulers. After a series of misunderstandings, the natives come to believe that Dravot is a god, but he and Carnehan can't keep up their deception forever.
