The man from Atlantis is the moniker for Melbourne, Australia musician Mike Sill. Mike started 90s art-rock outfit Ray of Creation in the early 90s and went on to form krautrock duo Imperial Leatherman in 2000 with Stevie Richards. Throughout the 90s and 2000s Mike was an integral part of the underground music scene in Melbourne.
the Man from Atlantis is an extension of ideas formed in these previous bands but utilising the acoustic and Weissenborn guitars. The sound is a mix of American Primitive finger-style guitar in the John Fahey/ Robbie Basho idiom and raga, blues and folk.
the Man from Atlantis has released 8 solo recordings and two collaborations with the US artist Reid Karris and Brazilian guitarist George Christian.

Phil Franklin is an American musician living in Melbourne, who has played in such cult acts as Secret Chiefs, Sunburned Hand Of Man, Faxed Head, Caroliner Rainbow and Franklin's Mint.
Beginning in the early 1980’s as drummer with the New York hard core punk band BORSCHT, Phil played at such local clubs as CBGB’s, A7 and The Rock Hotel, and began writing lyrics and had a deep interest in song writing.
After moving to San Francisco in 1992 to join the Art Rock band CAROLINER RAINBOW he began to tour extensively throughout the USA, Japan and Australia; coming to Australia for the first time with “desk-metal” band FAXED HEAD in 1997, which featured Trey Spruance from MR. BUNGLE and Gregg Turkington aka NEIL HAMBURGER fame.
The following year he joined Trey Spruance, Danny Heifetz, Trevor Dunn, Bar McKinnon (all original members of Mr Bungle) and violinist Eyvind Kang in the first touring line up of the Secret Chiefs 3, playing percussion and drums. He also featured on cult Saturday morning music show, RECOVERY.
