The Making of a Design District Workshop: Part 3 (Develop)

Led by Professor Heather Barker, Director of the Immersive Design Research Lab (IDRL) at CSULB, this hands-on workshop will bring creators, innovators, and makers from the community together to test and build tactical urbanism interventions.

Participants will collaborate to develop prototypes that reflect the district’s unique creative energy. The final showcase will take place during the Art + Design Walk exhibition on February 8, 2025, where projects will come to life in a ‘Parking Day’-style outdoor showcase.

Both events are free and open to the public and all are welcome to attend. If you wish to prototype and showcase a project, you must submit an form by January 10th.
