About this Event
The Full Moon is the perfect time to let go and to release what no longer serves us. With that in mind, for this Full Moon in Sagittarius we will be combining a Spiritual and a Physical release with this super special event!
Initially we will gather in Circle to connect with and release old old habits, patterns or emotions that are taking up space within our energy bodies; we will take time to recognise, acknowledge and then give them away with grace...
Following this ritual practice, you are invited to also release the items that no longer serve you as you take part in our Holistic Product Swap!
The idea of the swap is to bring any items you own, such as tarot/ oracle cards, crystals, plants, herbs, incense, books, candles, jewellery (if hygenic to do so!), accessories, decorative items or ornaments (and more!) that you no longer use, connect with, or that are no longer a good fit for you, and find new home for them - by swapping, OR perhaps even arranging a cash exchange with folks who are ready to welcome them in!

How does the Swap work?
If you're wondering:
How does a swap work? Who approaches who, first? How do you initiate the conversation? How do you gently decline an offer? What’s the universal etiquette? Then read on:
Attendees are invited to find a spot to display their goodies. If you feel so inclined, bring a little folding table or use chairs/ tables, or even a small mat on the floor, to display your goods.
After setting up (and for this we will allow 15 mins MAX - we are expecting a box or a bag full - not a garage load each!), it’s time to scope out everyone else’s goods — keep in mind, it’s not time to swap yet! This is the time to take mental notes of which things you’re eyeing up.
The host of the swap typically announces the time the official swap starts. As soon as the swap is officially on, you may see some people bee-lining to a wishlist item; some people choose to make second rounds to every table for a closer look; and some stay at their station waiting for others to come to them.
If you’re roaming around and find an item you’d like to trade for, the conversation may look like this:
“Hey! What were you looking to trade for your Selenite Bowl?”
Some people may have a specific trade in mind, like a certain set of Tarot Cards, a couple of Lemon Verbena plants or a hand-carved wooden box. If not, they may say:
“I’m not sure, actually. What have you got?”
You can either list off your items or invite them to your station so they get a better sense of what you have to offer. From here, trades can either look like a one-to-one swap, or multiple items in exchange for one item. Whatever the exchange, don’t feel pressured to accept a trade if you’re not really into it!
What can you say if someone offers a trade that you’re not excited about? Either keep it simple and kind: “Thanks, but I’ll pass” OR you can look to agree a cash exchange for the item.
How does a cash exchange work?
Ahead of the sale we suggest assigning an arbitrary value to your items - so for example if you have a set of oracle cards that you can find online second hand and they usually sell for around £10 then that's a good ballpark. This gives you an understanding of the item's PRELOVED value and also the opportunity to haggle with other folks - i.e. if someone comes to you with something they have valued at £2 (Perhaps a small tumblestone) to exchange for your £10 item (maybe a home decor item) then you might suggest that they can swap something else to make up the value, or, if there's nothing else of theirs you want, you can agree on making up the exchange with cash. And here we'd advise to agree on a figure that feels good and presents a win/win to both parties. We're all adults and we can state what we'd like to recieve, AND also strike a happy mid-ground if needed!
Equally if you are happy to part with an item no matter the cost difference then you are welcome to simply make the exchange - after all, worth and value are in the eye of the beholder! Remember this swap is first & foremost about releasing things you do not want, need or use anymore so holding fast to an item's value may not serve you - if it is worth a great deal/ or you cannot let it go by negotiating a swap/ value, then you might be best to pop it on an online marketplace instead!
Overall, there are a few dos and don’ts to keep in mind for a successful swap event. Here’s a rundown — some might seem obvious, but a reminder can be helpful.
- Do offer trades that are comparable in desirability and/or value
- Don’t take anything from anyone’s station without their consent!
- Do stay respectful and kind with your fellow swappers
- Don’t get offended or pushy when someone says “no” - and remember if you really want something you can make up the exchange in cash.
- Do get away from your station every now and then to build relationships within your local holistic community - remember this is a great opportunity to meet other like minded ladies!
- Don’t feel bad if someone you traded with re-swaps your item with someone else!
- Do have fun and meet some lovely new people!
General Info:
Wild Women, Witches and She Wolves are all welcome at this Women-only Circle. This is a safe space for discussion, learning & meeting new souls. My aim is to create a positive, uplifting Circle where we hold space for each other; Connection, Community and Authenticity are key here.
If you find yourself in a new phase of your life or you feel like you are perhaps not fitting in with what's been expected of you, then it's wonderful to be able to connect with some new, like-minded souls to discuss your craft or interests; to learn new things and simply to make some wonderful new connections.
Above all, this is about having a space to truly be yourself, have fun and hang out with like-minded people in an environment where nothing you say will come across as 'odd'!
If you feel like you are yet to find yourself or 'your people' then this may be just the place for you.
I look forward to Welcoming you,
Holly x
