Course Overview: This course is designed to meet all the educational requirements for students to apply for the MD HQL permit as well as obtain the NRA First Steps certification. This course gives students a first time, hands on, high impact/ low stress experience with a pistol. Upon completion of this course, students will have gain a basic understanding on how to effectively and safely handle, fire, maintain, and own a pistol.
This course is designed to meet all the educational requirements for students to apply for the MD HQL permit. Upon completion of this course, students will have attained the MD state requirements to APPLY for their HQL permit. Class hours- 3pm-7pm FINGERPRINTS: Frederick MVA, Sheriff's office, or google "MD live scan vendor" to have prints done before you submit the application. *attendance of this course does not guarantee approval from the MD state police to receive an HQL. *Students who are late will need to make up the class hours on their own and pay for an additional class, as you will not meet state requirements. No refunds are issued for students who come in late or miss the class.
****Fingerprints ($65) are not included in the classroom costs and will be purchased a la carte during class.
