About this Event
Every year, 500,000 women living in France begin to experience menopause without being quite sure they can identify it. Nearly half feel they are not sufficiently informed on the subject. Only 10% of menopausal women in France took hormone therapy in 2019, down from nearly 66% in 1990.
The M Factor: Shredding the Silence on Menopause is an American film released in 2024—the first documentary to explore the hidden impact of menopause on women's lives. With evidence-based information, the film empowers women to make informed health decisions and aims to remove the stigma surrounding menopause and aging.
But it’s not without controversy.
You’re invited to France’s first public screening of The M Factor, complete with a live Q&A and reception for women, their partners, and health care providers.
With the help of menopause-trained experts, we will have a critical discussion about the current state of menopause care, the claims and potential misinformation in the film, and how to navigate a range of health care options in France. This event is designed to inform, validate, and support women as they transition through this universal life stage.
