About this Event
The (M) Factor 2: Before the Pause (Perimenopause) Documentary Screening
From the producers of the groundbreaking documentary The (M) Factor comes The (M) Factor 2: Before the Pause (Perimenopause), a powerful new film continuing the vital conversation about women’s hormones, health, and the changes that shape this stage of life.
This special screening at Lexington Venue invites you to be part of an important and timely discussion about perimenopause, a phase that affects millions of women yet remains widely misunderstood and under-addressed.
Blending expert insights with women’s real experiences, the film explores how perimenopause impacts heart, bone, brain, and sexual health, and highlights the evidence-based solutions helping women feel informed, supported, and empowered through this transition.
The (M) Factor 2 builds on the momentum of the original film by shining a light on the early hormonal shifts that often begin years before menopause, when symptoms can feel confusing, dismissed, or overlooked. Through candid storytelling, the documentary centers the lived experiences of women across the U.S., following them into doctors’ offices, workplaces, and homes as they navigate symptoms, systemic gaps in care, and the emotional toll of being unheard.
With contributions from leading physicians, healthcare advocates, and voices within the menopause movement, the film examines the broader impact of untreated perimenopause and menopause, including effects on careers, families, and long-term health. It also highlights the progress being made and the solutions that can be replicated in medical practices and communities nationwide.
Following the screening, this event will include a live Q&A with Lexington menopause-certified healthcare providers, offering an opportunity to ask questions and deepen your understanding of what’s happening in your body and what support is available.
Come with curiosity, bring a friend, and join us for an evening of education, connection, and conversation as we continue to break the silence around women’s midlife health.
