A bit about the trio:
Musical storyteller Lynne Frederickson brings a fresh perspective to the timeless melodies of the Great American Songbook. Lynne’s passion for this music is evident in her eclectic repertoire, which blends both well-loved and lesser-known gems from the swing era and beyond. Though jazz is her first love, Lynne is also one half of the Americana duo Root Cause Analysis, a backup singer with the Ralph McKee Blues Band, and has been known to share the stage with the genre-defying Dorkestra.
Versatile bassist David Stearns has been a presence on the Southeast Michigan music scene for 45 years, covering a range of styles from jazz to rock, blues and folk. David has performed with jazz luminaries George Benson, Sean Dobbins, Mark Kieswetter, Gerald Cleaver, Jimmy Cook, and many others. He has also toured and recorded with a great variety of artists, including folk icon Dick Siegel, The Lunar Octet, Harvey Thompson, Henry Gibson Jr, Tony Viviano and Voice Finalist Laith Al Saadi.
William Marshall Bennett is a much-sought-after pianist on the the Ann Arbor/Detroit music scene. He’s a weekly fixture at Weber’s brunch and a frequent collaborator with several local groups. William also leads his own trio, appearing at top local venues including The Blue Llama and 4M Venue. At the University of Toledo, William studied with renowned mentors Tad W**d, Cliff Monear, Jeremy Siskind, and Al McKenzie, shaping the dynamic, versatile style he brings to every performance.
