Come play a Dungeons and Dragons one-shot adventure.

This month, the one-shot is a homebrew adventure written by Dungeon Master Ryan Lessard called “The Lost Children of Othendell.” For untold generations, the people of Othendell have lived deep within a floating mountain cast into the void after a cataclysm shattered their world. These hardy survivors have made a home in the mountain’s rocky bowels by hewing to family, faith and tradition. The time has come for a group of Othendell’s strongest young people to be selected by lottery to complete their most important tradition, the Ascension Trials; a sacrificial rite that must be undertaken every 10 years to protect the colony from dangerous creatures lurking in the dark caverns just beyond their borders, and a one-way trip.
Players must bring a 1st level character at an age considered young adult. You must follow the official character creation rules as written in the 2024 Player’s Handbook (using any background except Sailor) and create a custom hybrid species following the homebrew rules below.
