The Longest Winter - Tinna BomanA Concert on Loss, Grief, and Moving Forward

A brother whose life is hanging by a thread in the ICU.
A love that was supposed to last a lifetime but didn’t.
A world so radically changed for the worse it seems to be beyond repair.
Some winters are not measured in months but in grief. In what was lost. In what never was. Yet, through all the darkness, music is always there for us.
The Longest Winter is a concert that explores the grieving process – the pain, the humanity, the seemingly unbearable, but also the beauty – and how music can guide us through it. A concert about daring to linger in that state of grief in order to be able to eventually seek the light again. About daring to create a new life where grief and joy coexist.
In this concert, Malmö-based singer, guitarist, and songwriter Tinna Boman shares her own music, based on her personal experiences of grief, alongside interpretations of songs that have helped her survive it. Tinna has a long history in the punk scene, but for this concert she will be putting the acoustic guitar and her voice at the forefront, giving the listeners a stripped-back, intimate, and emotional experience.
The Longest Winter is a love letter to the music that carried her through winters when her strength was faltering.
An invitation to all who have grieved.
To all who are still in mourning.
And to all who dare to believe that spring will come again after a long, dark, and cold winter.
Thank you to the City of Malmö for facilitating this concert through the Kulturkraft grant.
