The holidays are not always merry and bright; sometimes they can be difficult, lonely, and grief-filled. Dealing with the death of a loved one, facing life after divorce or separation, coping with the loss of a job, living with cancer or some other disease that puts a question mark over the future, and a number of other human situations make this season difficult for many people in our congregation and broader community. Here at Asbury we want to be sure we are being attentive and ministering to those in our community that feel this heaviness. Thus, we are holding our Longest Night Service on Sunday, December 21 at 6:00 p.m. This service honors and holds space for people that have lost loved ones and are experiencing grief.
We invite anyone and everyone to this sacred space, and we invite you to come as you are, not as you feel you need to be in this season. Know that you are not alone, you are seen, and that you are prayed for and over, friend.
