The Longest Night: A Blue Christmas ServiceA Service of Lament & Hope
December 21 • 4:00 PM
Trinity Methodist Church of Darlington
Not everyone enters the Christmas season with a light heart. For some, December brings memories that ache, the weight of loss, or a quiet longing for peace. If you’ve ever felt out of step with the world’s holiday cheer—or if you simply need a sacred pause in the midst of a busy season—we invite you to join us for a deeply meaningful and contemplative worship experience.
The Longest Night Service creates a safe, gentle space to acknowledge grief, loneliness, or exhaustion… while also opening ourselves to the comfort, presence, and hope of God. Through soft music, Scripture, prayer, and moments of stillness, this service offers a place to breathe and to remember that it’s okay to not be okay.
Come as you are.
Bring the parts of your story you carry quietly.
Find warmth, understanding, and light in the midst of winter’s longest night.
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” – Psalm 34:18
All are welcome—whether you’re seeking healing or simply holding space for someone who is.
💙 Join us at Trinity Methodist Church of Darlington on December 21 at 4pm.
You matter. Your story matters. And you don’t have to walk through this season alone.
