The Locker Room Experience is a two-day father & son event designed to equip families for life, leadership, and legacy.
We’re bringing the community together in Decatur for a weekend of mentorship, connection, and competition. From free haircuts and real conversations to a formal brunch and a polished basketball showcase, this is more than an event it’s about building memories and shaping futures.
Special Guest:
Joining us for the entire weekend is, former NFL safety and Super Bowl Champion who played nearly a decade in the league with the New England Patriots, Detroit Lions, and San Francisco 49ers.
A graduate of the University of Illinois, Tavon is passionate about leadership, mentorship, and using his platform to inspire young men to make positive choices, build confidence, and chase excellence both on and off the field.
Saturday, December 6 – Cuts & Conversations
Kick off the weekend with free haircuts, food, and open conversations.

Sunday, December 7 – All-Black Brunch & Basketball Game
Start your Sunday with the All-Black Brunch featuring Tavon Wilson, live entertainment, and meaningful father-son moments at the YWAPD Cultural Arts Center – 321 Leafland Ave, Decatur, IL. 1 PM - 4 PM
Then, close out the weekend at the Basketball Tournament — a 5-on-5 showcase featuring friendly competition, skills contests, trophies, and medals at Skywalker Gym – 400 E. Eldorado St, Decatur, IL. 6:00 PM
