Cedar Creek and Belle Grove National Historical Park (CEBE) is offering The Little Sixth ranger-led driving tour on Friday, July 26, 2024. This 2-hour tour will begin at 2:00 pm. Meet at the National Park Service Visitor Center, 7712 Main Street, Middletown, Va. The group will follow the park ranger’s car and caravan from stop-to-stop. Follow the footsteps of the 6th Maryland Volunteer Infantry Regiment of the US 6th Corps on the Cedar Creek Battlefield. As part of Gen. Philip Sheridan’s Army of the Shenandoah, the 6th Maryland participated in the major battles of the 1864 Valley Campaign. In addition to learning about their role at Cedar Creek on October 19, 1864; this tour will cover the perspective of Federal soldiers from a slave-holding border state as well as the current efforts to preserve key sections of the battlefield.

This tour is free and open to the public. Bring water, sunscreen, and comfortable footwear.
