THE MOMENT YOU’VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR HAS ARRIVED! ?The Little Giants band was formed in 1999 by Ezra Ngcukana and George Werner after being approached by JCQ Productions to create a youth band for their Millennium Jazzathon event. This project has given more than 300 young people from diverse backgrounds in Cape Town with various opportunities, and many of whom have become established professionals in their own right.
The Little Giants have performed on many stages, both locally and internationally, and have had the honour of accompanying many of our musical legends, including Winston Mankunku and Robbie Jansen, to name but a few. ?
This year for our anniversary celebration, we have the honour of welcoming the Little Giants family - both past , present, and future members.
We are fortunate to have built an established community and will feature Little Giants alumni such as Shaun Johannes, Julius May, Steven Sokuyeka, Muneeb Hermans and many others.
We will also be joined by our Little Giants Big Band, IMAD combine choir, Little Giants Alumni band, the IMAD Khayelitsha Jazz ensemble as well as our special guest Babalwa Mentjies.
We are so excited for you to come along this journey and celebrate this milestone with us! ???
