As teachers of Yoga, we must continuously grow our ability to observe and understand our students and their practices. Knowing how to read the movements of the human body, peel back the layers and understand what is happening at a deeper level gives you a foundation from which you, as the teacher, can support your students.Developed with the inquisitive student and emerging teacher in mind, The Literate Teacher will delve deep into the anatomy of the human form and its many variations. Breaking down the human body as it pertains to a movement practice and allowing exploration of your own personal alignment from the inside out, this workshop will provide you with tools to teach or practice with more confidence and clarity.
In this 3 hour workshop we will look heavily upon the skeletal variations within the human body and their implications within a movement practice. Reinforcing that no two bodies are alike, we will look at specific asana poses and movements in order to develop a better understanding of the underlying anatomy and human variations that bring about the individual experience.
