We welcome creatives and listeners of all experience levels, and regularly have first-time readers. As your host, I pride myself on this event being inclusive and welcoming to all.
Leigh community centre is wheelchair accessible, and has a full bar accepting cash and card within the cafe.
Each reader on the open mic will typically get 10-15 minutes maximum. If there is leftover time we welcome a ‘jump in’ approach to shorter readings from open mic’ers.
There is parking next door in the former Police Station car park, free after 6pm and usually very quiet in the evening.
We run for charity, donation buckets are on the bar, totally optional - no pressure to donate. The current charity is Serving The Homeless.
