The Lissa Schneckenburger Trio features fiddler and vocalist Lissa Schneckenburger with Rachel Aucoin on piano and Samuel Foucher on accordion. The group draws from New England traditional music alongside Schneckenburger’s original compositions, presented in an intimate, acoustic setting.Schneckenburger’s recent work was written during the first year of the pandemic, a period when touring paused and writing became her primary creative focus. That time resulted in a large body of new material, including the album Falling Forward. The music includes both energetic fiddle tunes rooted in dance traditions and quieter, more reflective pieces.
Schneckenburger has spent decades performing, teaching, and composing music grounded in traditional forms while incorporating personal experience. Raised in Maine, she began playing fiddle at a young age and later studied Contemporary Improvisation at the New England Conservatory of Music. Her work spans traditional New England dance music, original instrumental compositions, and songwriting.
This performance offers an opportunity to hear Schneckenburger’s music up close in a small room setting designed for listening and connection.
Pay what you can $15–$35, kids 12 and under free.
