The Chilliwack School of Performing Arts presents The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical! Percy Jackson, a young boy with ADHD and Dyslexia, is trying his hardest to be a good kid. Despite his best efforts, it seems like catastrophe follows him wherever he goes. When a monster attacks Percy at school –getting him expelled AGAIN– he learns that he is the son of a Greek god, or as the others call it, a Half-Blood. Nothing is as it seems anymore, not even his best friend, Grover.
Suddenly, Percy is faced with new powers he can’t control, frightening prophecies he doesn’t want to decode, and a mythology textbook’s worth of monsters on his trail.
As if his week couldn’t get any worse, he’s now the prime suspect for stealing Zeus’s master lightning bolt. To prevent all-out war between the gods and prove his innocence, Percy now must embark on a quest.
Teamed up with best friend Grover, and a new half-blood friend, Annabeth, can Percy hold off the wrath of the gods, come to terms with his newfound lineage, and keep everyone he cares about safe?
This show is rated PG for minor mentions of alcohol.
