‘The Legend of Kohinoor' traces the epic journey of the world’s most famous diamond—from its origins in the Deccan, through the hands of Indian and West Asian rulers, before finally landing with the British Empire. It’s a sweeping tale of valor, sacrifice, and adventure that transcends kingdoms, kings, and cultures.
Written by Vimal Pannala, directed by Spandana Akella, and with Lalitha Nanduri as Creative Director, this production promises royal grandeur, stirring music, dance performances, and powerful drama - set against the memerizing backdrop of Shehenshahs and Maharajs of the Indian subcontinent. Dialogues are in English and the show is family friendly. It is a labor of love for a number of us and a fun and entertaining way for your kids to also learn about India as the story of Kohinoor passes through several kingdoms and kings that we would all know about.
There are two shows - on September 27th Saturday and September 28th Sunday at 5 pm. Both shows are at the DHS PAC.
