As part of the celebrations of our 950th anniversary, these lectures will reflect on aspects of the artistic and cultural heritage of Chichester Cathedral, the ways in which these speak to us amid the challenges and opportunities of our current time, and their relevance for future generations. Simon Martin is a curator, writer, and Director of Pallant House Gallery. He is a Trustee of the Artist Collecting Society and serves on the Courtauld Association Committee. He has curated and commissioned numerous exhibitions at the Gallery, and written and contributed to a wide range publications on modern and contemporary British art.
This lecture will combine, in different measure, reflection on art, culture, history, theology and spirituality. All are welcome and no prior knowledge of the Cathedral or subject area is expected.
The programme on each evening will be:
6.30pm Drinks
