We’ve heard about the legendary students who occupied the 9th floor in 1969, about how the riot police were called to Concordia 2002, and about the thousands of students on the streets in 2012. But what has happened since then? Where are these student activists now? And how can we learn from their organizing to fuel our activism today?
Hear from the people who organized and mobilized Concordians and gave us the legacy of the “activist university”. Join us on October 5th for a panel discussion about student activism at Concordia.
Guest speakers include Rodney John, Sabine Freisinger, and Irmak Bahar, moderated by Nalini Mohabir, professor and co-author of “The Fire That Time”.
