About this Event
The conference is structured around two panels.
The first panel will examine the evolving framework for the private enforcement of Article 102 TFEU, with particular attention to the challenges arising from its multidimensional effects on affected parties and market dynamics. The second panel will address the economic, legal and regulatory challenges facing liberalised markets in sectors such as energy, transport, water and electronic communications, with a specific focus on the Portuguese context.
The discussion will explore questions such as: How are competition authorities and courts assessing exclusionary conduct under Article 102 TFEU? What are the main challenges in private enforcement and the quantification of antitrust damages? What obstacles continue to hinder the liberalisation of regulated sectors in Portugal and across Europe? And how can regulators promote competition in a rapidly changing environment shaped by technological transformation and innovation?
