About this Event
On Saturday, July 2nd, we’re hosting a fundraising event to support educate.’s projects for youth in Honduras. What better way to contribute to our projects than having fun and being lazy?
The Lazy Obstacle Run will consist of a (slow) run with fun, non-physical obstacles along the way. The team that passes the most obstacles and arrives at the finish line first will be proclaimed the ultimate lazy winner and will receive a sporty gift — because even lazy people need athletic clothing! (A huge thanks to lululemon for supporting this event!)
A little about us: educate. is an Amsterdam-based NGO whose aim is to support locally-led education projects in Honduras. We’ve just launched our High School Scholarship Campaign — a new fundraising project to provide young students access to secondary school education by removing everyday barriers. This involves organizing a school transportation system for children living in rural areas, as well as providing uniforms and classroom materials.
How does the run work?
The teams will consist of 2 to 3 participants. At the start of the race, your team will receive a map revealing where the obstacles are located around Westerpark, and a Pajama Ticket (where you’ll receive a star for each obstacle you pass). Once you’ve passed all the obstacles and completed the full Lazy Obstacle Run, you’ll make your way to the finish line. The team handing in its Pajama Ticket with all the stars will win the race and receive the prize!
The available tickets for purchase are:
Individual ticket: EUR 10
Two member team: EUR 18
Three member team: EUR 27
If you purchase an individual ticket, we will place you in a team so you can use team work to your advantage ?
100% of the funds raised will go to educate.’s High School Scholarship Campaign.
So bring your lazy-competitive spirit and we’ll see you there for a fun time!
